Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of improving your website's ranking in search engine results. There are two major ways to improve search result rankings. The first, called coding optimization, is to optimize the code and content of the website to contain, in a relevant manner, the keyphrases which when typed into a search engine, you hope bring up your website early in the results.
The second optimization strategy is to increase relevant traffic to your site via normal physical world marketing as well via blogging, e-mail campaigns, social media, news sites, and paid advertisements.
The first method only needs to be done once and can easily be priced. The other method is ongoing and has no real beginning or end. We provide the services for the ongoing marketing in a customized manner on a project by project basis. The ongoing marketing is less technical than the intial coding optimization and as such can be performed by non-technical staff. We do offer training for you and your staff.
You should be wary of web design and marketing company's "guaranteeing" search engine results. Even after the above optimization is performed, your website will be in competition with every other website that has made similar enhancements. However, it is important to at least perform the coding optimization so that your site is as visible as possible to Google, Yahoo, and Bing.
